Triple Chocolate Homemade Ice Cream
How awesome does this look? Amazing, I know! Nick got me the ice cream maker attachment for my Kitchenaid mixer for my birthday. After following the guide's recipe for triple chocolate ice cream I have to say I am hooked on making my own ice cream from now on! Time consuming, so patience is a must (which is hard to have when making ice cream), but the results are definitely worth it. I won't post the recipe since it won't be of much use unless you have this specific attachment (and those who do will have the recipe in their manual), but I'll let you drool over this picture until I get a few more practice batches in and start getting creative!

Hello Lindsey! I got my wife the mixer with the ice cream attachment. The last ingredient is 4 oz. of chocolate cut up. When is this added in? The directions do not say any thing about it.
ReplyDeleteHi Brian - sorry for the delay in replying. Blogger doesn't notify you of comments.... and I am clearly terrible at checking.
ReplyDeleteI always add ice cream fixings in the last 2 minutes or so. Or you can mix it in by hand once you take the ice cream out of the bowl and are going to freeze it. I'm not sure if this was in the recipe or if I just did it because I wanted to.
Enjoy the ice cream making!
